I got news for the clown: If he comes into Tennessee making boisterous threats and fanning his weapons around, he won't make it BACK to Atlanta. We don't put up with intimidation tactics around here. I absolutely agree with your concerns. A lot of people out there feel as if he is their "salvation" and they will cross any and all lines with abandon. Between him,oprah and a few others they are doing it now.
When the "real" stuff starts piling in on him, like Iran, Iraq, the housing crisis, the economy overall, Russia, and many other things that he'll have to deal with he won't have time to play "Race Manager" like some have thought. There is a whole crapload of things that he'll have to deal with on a daily basis that will take up more time than he has available.
And besides that.....what makes you think that he is interested in how blacks and other minorities feel that they are treated? He's got his own personal agenda that encompasses HIM....not anyone else. This campaign and presidency is an ego trip, plain and simple.
They'll calm down as soon as they realize that the new President isn't their personal representative in their personal culture war.

Actually Lincoln had in mind to help the former slaves and freemen make their way to their homeland, the State of Liberia was started for just this purpose. However the vast majority chose to stay. The vast majority of African Americans should understand that the Democratic party are not their friends, and use them as nothing but a block of voters to keep themselves in power. The programs that were started to help the black race in this country have been used to help enslave them in other ways that they never imagined.
Politicians such as Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, et. all, need the people that they seek votes from to feel that they are being oppressed, for without that impression, they, the politicians would be seen as the charlatans that they surely are. The next block of voters who these same people are going too seek support from are currently invading from the south.

* On white supremacists: "They're sissies; they want to put their feelings on a flier. Well, come into the black neighborhood with that rhetoric and we will show you what a strong awakened black man looks like."
* On the Phillies: "They can kiss my [beeep]. The Phillies are not doing nothing for our 'hoods."
Shabazz, who also considers himself a Black Hebrew, said that his beliefs are rooted in high school, where lessons about slavery led to an "awakening."
