I have an A.T.N. Aries MK 6500 that has worked well for several years, mounted on my AR-15.
Now something has happened to it. It seems that something has come loose inside it as the field of view has "dropped down" and you can only see a half circle starting just above the reticle. Everything from just slightly above the reticle on up is gone. It is strange as when fired, the weapon still is sighted dead on but is extremely difficult to use (and dangerous) because you can no longer see what is above the reticle, or the whole field of view that it fromerly had.
I cannot seem to figure out how to take the night vision apart to even attemt to diagnose or fix it. It appears to be held together by pins.
The only screws on it only take off the control module on the left side and the other four screws only open up the reticle adjustment (which has no problems). I need to get into the intensifier tube/ screen/ lens area to see what is out of allignment.
Does anyone else own one of these scopes or know how to properly open it up?
