gimme some info on howling, please.

I believe that the most important thing about howling is in sounding like a strange coyote in the area. Coyotes are very protective of their territory and will come over to investigate the sound of a stranger. I like to begin a stand with a lonesome sounding howl, maybe two or three of them. If you get a vocal answer, then you try to imitate what the real coyote just said. If no vocal answer, wait in silence for about three minutes. If no customer shows up, repeat the howls and wait another three minutes. Still no customer? Give em some jackrabbit distress crys, or maybe a puppy distress.
