I'm voting Democratic

I'm brilliant !!!

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe the government
will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe white people need
to spend their time at the back of the bus.

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe three or four pointy headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that paying $4.00
a gallon or more is no reason to drill for the mountain of oil we are sitting on in THIS country. We wouldn't want to have to move a couple of Polar bears now would we?

I'm voting Democrat because: when we pull out of Iraq, I
trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.

I'm voting Democrat because: I like it when planes fly into buildings full of civilians. I want to see more of that.

I'm voting Democrat because: I don't want a stimulus check to spend. Let the government spend it for me.

I'm voting Democrat because: freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because: I love the fact that I can now marry
whatever I want. I'm going to marry my Brother.

I'm voting Democrat because: I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democrat because: I don't want to eat poison food and drink dirty water. We all know Republicans love that stuff. Ever wonder why the most left wing country in the World (China ) is the most polluted?

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that when the
terrorists don't have to hide from us over there, when they come over here I don't want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with.

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that churches
should only be allowed for political speeches.

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that business
should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the employees..

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that I don't
want Doctors who were at the top of their classes to operate on me. I want a government employee who makes $50k a year and couldn't hack it as a contractor or an engineer.

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that people who
can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius..

I'm voting Democrat because: I REALLY believe there is no bias in the media. I'm All for CHANGE!!!

ACKLEY BEE

You changed my mind. I was gonna vote for McCain, but with all the wonderful reasons you just gave I am changing parties.

The world you described? It just don't get any better than that.

Change, that's what it's all about. (And nothing More)

Thanks for enlightening me.

Let me ask you this Bee, is there ever a time when you look past party hype and see the actual candidate? Have you ever noticed that there is a wide range of differences in the members of each party or do you buy into the concept that all members of a political party are exactly the same and all you have to do is vote the party line?

Well all members are not the same for sure. But living here in Washgington I don't see very much difference in the Democratic party at all. They are nearly all far left the one exception Brian Sontag.

I don't think the Republicans are doing themselves any favors by moving left. As for this election you have at least a choice of voting moderate or for in Obama's case a racist.

You should know by watching what is happening in Washgington that we've went from a 300 million surplus to several hundred millions in the red. So much for our budget and that isn't GWB's fault. Several more billions of budget has been intentionally put on back burner until after the election. The 520 bridge probably 8 billion and the Alaskan viaduct or will it be a tunnel 4 billion. If they fall into the same great planning that rapid transit did the costs will more than likely be double what they are claiming. Then there's the States ferry’s no pun intended. The repair or replacement put off until after the election. So no were talking more than hype here but your lefty mind seems to block all that out.

We have had the largest single budget increase in the States history without the things I listed above 33% in one year and there’s a lot more to come. That means we go into debt or drastically increase taxes or both. Democrats have never learned to stop their tax and spend policies. Now if you were a new dumb voter I could see they might get that by you. But old wise one you're on the left and you're supporting them. No I won't Google that for you!

The States budget projection is 2 billion in the red by 2010 without the 520 bridge and the viaduct. The State is in total lefty control. You can't blame it on GWB moderate that he is. I could go on and on but there isn't any sense to try to sell a lefty the truth because you guys just never quit looking for the hand out.

By the way this same policy is running rampant in every blue State in the country. You leftys need to smarten up and that won't happen as long as they tax someone else. You wonder why the money and the jobs are moving out of America. I don't.

You might have a point on the budget issues if it were only Washington State that is having statewide budget issues; however that’s not the case.

It’s also amusing how you go to great lengths to label me as a lefty. There are several lefties who have described me as a rightwing redneck. So if it came to a choice between an unacceptable Republican and a Democrat that supported some of the issues you agreed with, would you vote for the Democrat?

Not me!

A vote for a 'moderate' Dem congressman, for example, is still tantamount to voting for Nancy Pelosi as speaker and it is the lib party leaders who set the agenda when the D's are in power. It is a trickle-down effect.

That said, I share Bee's deep concerns about the Republican Party losing sight of conservative values.

All thing being equal, however, I still always support the Republican because they are nearly always less liberal and there is still a matter of the party platform behind them which IS conservative. As to the Dem's, Rimmy, the Scoop Jackson's, the "Maggie's" and Harry Truman's are long gone, replaced by the radical leftists who seek to transform the US into a European-style socialist republic.

Thanks, but no thanks.

When all things are equal or even close to equal choosing by party affiliation is as good a way to make a choice as any and better that most. It’s when things are far from equal that it’s a questionable move.

As for that shift, there’s nothing to say it’s permanent. As more people lose confidence with the GOP you will see a shift in the Dem’s. One example is Jim Webb of Virginia. In the primaries you had a Dem candidate that had a better rating with the NRA than most of the GOP candidates. BTW I share your dislike of the current speaker of the house and find Harry Reid to be a joke.

I'm actually not surprised you don't care for Pelosi and Reid's policies and actions. Again, I've always read your posts closely, Rimmy, and I've come to view you as a benign contrarian, not a Communist, lol! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No he is more like a closet liberal. He knows that info above doesn't contain the over 12 billons dollars of hidden debt. He knows that a lot of those other blue states are pulling the same scam it's electon year. That site didn't even show the Washington debt.

No I wouldn't vote for a Dem not until they come back to their senses. That isn't going to happen short of a real butt kicking and staying out of power long enough that some Democrats with some common sense get control of that party again. You string along with Howard Dean and Moveon.org or you're sidelined.

I know all about the Democratic party and big labor unions my uncle used to be the Democratic chair for Wyoming and on the AFLCIO's 14 man committee for everything west of the Mississippi. Even he had no stomach for Jimmy Carter our worst ever President and is still proving it today.

If you had read down a little further you would have seen this

Quote:
Analysts in three other states — Missouri, Texas, and Washington — are projecting budget gaps a little further down the road, in FY2010 and beyond.

That makes the total 32 states that are looking at budget shortfalls. From what I can see whichever political party is dominant in a state has little if anything to do with a state having a budget shortfall.

I'm proud to say after reading how whacked your political views are that my vote will cancel out yours./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Sorry warm liberal fuzzy logic the dominant party votes the spending. You have to do better than that Rimmy. Even a grade schooler knows better.

Are you saying that all 32 states that are projecting a budget shortfall are dominated by the Dems?

I'd say that's a good guess but you know you could

it.

But even a guess would be a lot closer than your insinuation.
