Zeiss Demo Model?

Hey Guys,

Has anyone had any experience with a demo model of a Zeiss scope? Cameralandny has the Zeiss scope that I want in a demo model for about $300 cheaper than brand new. It still comes with the Zeiss liftime warranty. Any info anyone has would be great. Thanks in advance.

I would jump on that! Besides its protected with the lifetime warranty!

I bought a 6.5-20 Zeiss Conquest Demo from Doug a couple years back. When I got it I couldn't tell a diff from new (other than the seal being broken). I would buy another Demo without hesitation.

Doug posts a bunch on these boards (not this one I don't recollect) but if he gets demo's that are scratched, missing something like box, papers, case, covers, or not up to "new" standards. He posts what he has for a super discount & they are gone in minutes. If it's not LNIB; it's not on the Demo list to buy.

I have also bought some new scopes from him. I wish everyone ran a business like him. A1!!!!!

Bought a demo model from Gander a couple years back. Couldn`t be happier with it, and its not like looking through them wears them out at all. Like coleridge, I couldn't tell it from a new scope either, and wouldn't think twice about buying another.

If your not going to buy it let me know because I will.

Demo's are great scopes. SWFA sells a bunch.

I have gotten two demo Zeiss scopes from Cameraland and both have been great.

I also go a demo from CameralandNY........the only thing I could find was a scratch in the Zeiss sticker on the side focus knob.
