What's your favorite coon bait for dogproofs

Hey guys so I have been using plain old tuna and marshmellows and my catch rate has been mediocre. Any baits you guys would recommend to a newbie? Thanks

Marshmallow, dry cat food. Corn, bird seed, tinfoil, the list is endless with coons. They'll go for about anything. Heck I've even used banana extract poured onto a paper towel.

Sweet baits work better in the fall and protein bait comes on in January as breeding time approaches.

Big white marshmallows at my house for quick and easy. Leave a couple on the ground for starters and get their sweet tooth activated.

I use strictly dry cat food! Caught about 30 coons with it

I have had good luck with catfish food sprayed down with some liquid smoke and cherry oil.

I use either horse grain or kids cereal. It keeps a lot of the not targets from messing with the traps.

Fish based cat food with a marshmallow on top and then if I have any fried fish oil I will trail it around the trap.

I was going to say fish food, shaken in a five gallon bucket with Beast Feast.

The big fat Marshmallows worked real well for me a few years ago when I had problems with coons getting into my daughter's chickens.

Dry catfood, shellcorn, molasses, and calf milk replacer. A marshmallow on the trigger.

Mix the dry ingredients and then add the molasses to just get it to stick together a little bit.

Marshmallows with grape jelly on them and a little corn down in the trap.

Dobbins Coon Candy can't be beat as an attractor. They will not walk by it and you can get it on Amazon

We used to use canned sardines. But that is expensive over time. Dry cat food and maybe a drizzle of shellfish oil works great for us now.

Peanut butter or some anise oil mixed w/ Vaseline. Apply nearby as a scent. Fish works great. Get some shellfish oil from F&T

floating catfish food sprayed with liquid smoke.i place it on a cookie sheet, put the smoke in a spray bottle and mist it. I pour it into a old water bottle to carry to the sets.undo the cap and pour into the dp. I like a marshmallow under the trigger, gives them something soft to feel.

Baby marshmallows, truck load coon combo.

Smoked carp and or dog food from the dollar store.

Kraft jet puffed marshmallow creme. Mix in some honey and some vanilla extract.

Dry cat/dog food with fish oil poured on top

I use small marshmallows.... tried cat food but foxes started screwing with my traps. Tried left over fried rice it worked pretty good for possums.

Corn or cat food, with some cheap imitation vanilla extract sprayed around trap. I drill a hole in cap, and plug it with a toothpick. pull toothpick, squeeze the bottle to spray around trap.

Corn, dog food, cat food, tuna, anything that’s went bad in the refrigerator. Also started putting empty yogurt containers over the trap after we bait them. Keeps your bait dry and if you see the yogurt cup is still on the trap just drive on to the next one.
