Democrats don’t believe in the 2 nd amendment so as for me I’m not not ever gonna sell a gun to somebody I know is a Democrat. Let them live with their beliefs.

Several gun shops and pawn shops around that I drop by from time to time and look at what they have on the rack. Lately NONE of them have more than 20 percent as many long guns or hand guns as normal.
Thats a lot of guns somebody has bought in the last year.

I know well one pawn shop owner that was concerned because he had "his whole storage full of guns, some high dollar guns". Well they are gone now. Not enough left to stock his rack even.
Same all over. Nobody has anything much that anybody would want.

The owners say it is not due to hording. They have had customers of all kinds buying. People they never saw before. Lots of women also.

Somebody has been doing some buying.
I doubt they have all been Republicans.
Maybe even Democrats are beginning to catch on. I hope.

So do you plan on asking to see a voter ID card before a sale?

I belong to a gun club that has 550 paid members and 10 honorary members. I can promise you that all of them aren't Republicans.

As far as gun sales. The shelves are picked pretty clean around here as well. Some not so desirable firearms on the shelf, very few handguns either. I read and hear that there are a lot of first time buyers, both men and women.

I plan on selling a few guns when I get out of Illinois for good, they’re gonna go to people I know aren’t Democrat.

The left loves all firearms and all weapons...they just don't like for normal and rational people to have them.

It makes socialism and communism much harder to obtain and force on the regular people so long as they don't hold the monopoly of force over the regular people which IS exactly what they seek.

Again, never for a seconed believe the left wants to ban all guns.

Yeah with all the gun and ammo buying, you know it's not all right wing buyers. Does anyone consider the idea that the left is stocking up also?

Surely no one is so stupid to think that all the members on this site are Republican. Or think that there are no Democrats that love their firearms just as much as a Republican. We have 550 members in our gun club and I know several that are Dems. and love their guns just as much as the next guy...or gal. I worked at a gun shop for a while also. We NEVER asked to see a voter ID card.

Doesn't matter if a democrat voter loves guns, their still voting for the party trying to tear apart the bill of rights, Biden has already said semi auto rifles you have a choice 1. Sell to government 2. Register and pay NFA tax (200.00 per). That's just a start, always is. He will use executive action, once the supreme court is loaded with DEMOCRATS.

How about an Independent who is forced to vote for a Democrat when the Republican candidate is a MAGA? (Morally Abhorrent Grifting A-hole) Would you sell them a gun? Asking for a friend.

What some people see as logic is a curious thing.

Re: Guns and democrats - 12/03/20 08:15 PM

there a lot of democrats who are pro gun.

none of them are in any elected federal office any more though.

gun owners who are democrats belong to a party that is [beeep] bent on crushing their gun rights. I think that mostly these people just don't believe that it can happen, that somehow there is no risk in giving these people the power to change the laws.

I agree with all of that. They belong to the "it can't happen here" crowd. And most don't own the types of guns that are first on the hit list so they think they'll be ok.
